Who we are
This website is operated by Dhall Hospitality Group LLC ("DHG," "we," "us"), an institutional food distribution company headquartered in Syosset, New York. This policy applies to www.dhallhospitalitygroup.com and the forms on it. It does not cover information we handle under a signed contract with a customer, which that contract governs.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you use our forms we collect what you enter:
- Quote and contact requests: name, organization, work email, phone, type of institution, products of interest and any details you add.
- RFP submissions: name, organization, email, solicitation details, links and any documents you attach.
- Job applications: name, phone, email, area of interest, town or ZIP code, driver's license type, resume and anything else you choose to tell us.
- Customer Portal access requests: name, organization, work email and account number.
Please do not send Social Security numbers, bank or card details, health information or other sensitive personal information through this website. We do not ask for it.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the date and time. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and prevent abuse.
How we use information
- To respond to your request, prepare quotes and evaluate RFPs and bids.
- To set up and support customer accounts and portal access.
- To review job applications and contact applicants.
- To operate, secure and improve this website and prevent spam and fraud.
- To meet legal, tax, procurement, audit and record-keeping obligations, and to protect our rights.
We do not use your information for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry and RFP information for as long as needed to respond and for our ordinary business, procurement and legal record-keeping. Job application materials are kept for up to two years so we can consider you for future openings, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or the law requires us to keep them longer. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
How we protect it
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, limited access for staff who need it, and service providers who maintain their own security programs. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a security incident affects your personal information, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by law, including the New York SHIELD Act.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop contacting you. Email privacy@dhallhospitalitygroup.com with your request. We will confirm receipt and respond within 45 days, and we may need to verify your identity first. We will not treat you differently for making a request.
Depending on where you live, state privacy laws (for example in California, Connecticut, New Jersey and other states) may give you additional rights, such as the right to obtain a copy of your information or to appeal a decision about your request. Where those laws apply to us, we will honor them. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. To appeal a decision, reply to our response with "Appeal" in the subject line.
Job applicants
We use application information only to evaluate candidates and manage hiring. Dhall Hospitality Group is an equal opportunity employer. We do not ask about criminal history, salary history or protected characteristics on this website. If you need a reasonable accommodation to apply, email privacy@dhallhospitalitygroup.com.
Children's privacy
This website is meant for businesses, institutions and job seekers. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact privacy@dhallhospitalitygroup.com and we will delete it.
Other websites
This site may link to websites we do not control, such as government procurement portals. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our website and practices change. We will post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date, and for material changes we will provide additional notice where required.
